We now know the iPhone 12 will be announced on 13th Oct
Although Apple is holding a virtual event September (here's everything Apple announced), they expect disappointed iPhone - Apple Watch event focused on the new 6, Apple Watching SE and iPads instead. Date of announcement of the iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 and possibly 12 Pro Max Max (or iPhone 12 Mini?) Stay in the air. Note that Apple has not confirmed the names of the phone, but we'll go with the people at this time. Our best estimate, however, Apple will announce when the phone is either October 13 or 14.
Before we explain why, note that Apple has not released official information and did not respond to requests for comment. What we do know, however, is that the iPhone is definitely delayed "a few weeks" from the usual September time line. Even before the company confirmed back in July, we know the plague COVID 19 suppliers in China were forced to shut down or operating at limited capacity. It affects not only supplies Apple in September, but will have an impact on sales, as well. Apple's US retail stores were also closed, although now some have been reopened in a limited way.
Because the Apple iPhone event usually takes place in mid-September after Labor Day, "a few weeks" we urge delay to the region in October. And, also, September has come and gone.
As for why we chose a date in early to mid-October, there are several reasons. Japanese financial news outlet Nikkei Asian Review reported that Apple has started production of the iPhone 5G company in mid-September, which means that the products coming down the pipe sooner than later. Apple also will want a device that is enough to move in time for the holiday season and Black Friday. Lastly, in the best interest of Apple to choose the date on which the possibility of being swallowed by a bigger news is low. Although there is no day in 2020 is guaranteed to be a slow news day, the US presidential election will be held on November 3 and will really heat up in the second half of October.
That leaves us with the first two weeks of October and since Apple likes to hold the event on Tuesday or Wednesday, which gave our 6th October 7, 13 and 14. It appears increasingly unlikely that an event could take place this week, because there is no official invitation was sent by Apple yet. That leaves October 13 and 14, so that's what we are going to.
Again this is just a guess us. Apple has said nothing so far and a lot of things can change on a dime (hello, you met in 2020?). Let us know in the comments below if you think this date may or if Apple will choose another date altogether.
